Our new shipment of Osborn Shoes have just arrived. They are handmade in Guatemala by artisans using local textiles and leathers.

Here is their story…
Osborn Hand Crafted from Osborn Design on Vimeo.
The mission at Osborn is to do good with good design. Co-founder Aaron Osborn stumbled upon the idea for Osborn in 2007 when he met an out-of-work cobbler while doing charitable work in Guatemala. He and co-founder, Carla Osborn, were searching for a way to combine humanitarian efforts with a fashion project. This search led to Osborn Shoes. That first cobbler still works with them full time, as do a small driven team of 30 gifted artisans. Nestled in the volcanic mountains outside Guatemala City, these artisans craft shoes in a manufacturing environment dedicated to integrity and quality. The materials for each shoe are individually hand-cut and assembled by hand and signed by its maker, as a testament to the sense of pride for the maker, as well as its wearer.Â
Time to break out the wool blankets and rugs…

Tribal in look and feel, but with a heritage rooted in the hippie movement of the 60′s and 70′s when natural products were once again celebrated for their beauty–our feather earrings are among some of the best we have found.

Made exclusively for Whispering Pines by a gifted jewelry maker in New York City. An artist with a great eye, she combines beautiful feathers with a trinket or talisman to create a wonderful work of art you can wear and enjoy.
